Standing on the shoulders of giants
New life grows on a partially submerged bow of a fallen tree surrounded and shielded by these giants of the swamp in Big Cypress Tree Reserve in the Florida Everglades.
This was taken on a hike led by Clyde Butcher in his literal ‘back garden’ — an area of land Clyde now owns in Big Cypress behind his gallery. It was a joy to hike the swamp with his team.
