Sitting high on a extinct volcanic cone is one hell of a striking place to build a church.
Since I saw the lofty church of St Michael de Rupe been meaning to shoot it, perched as it is, seemingly floating in sky.
I was blessed with some nice soft sidelight, a rare event given the usual misty gloom of Dartmoor.
Went super-low and super-wide to exaggerate the size of the tor compared to the church and lift the peak above the surrounding hills into the sky.
