Flaming Arrow

Scouting the shoreline of Kirkjufell looking for a novel spot to shoot the mountain I found a brook emptying into the bay.

The light that morning was spectacular, sidelight hit the mountain imparting mauve and pink to the clouds, with the curve of the alpenglow mirroring the mountains arc.

The incandescent crimson on the mountain top was the best light I’d experienced in 2 weeks in Iceland.
