A cabin hut drawfed by the surrounding quarry in Donorwic

lost caban

A lone miner’s hut, a caban, sits isolated on the crumbling galleries of Dinorwic Quarry, the galleries here cut off by the waste slate that has been overrun the terraces.

The lost hut, is dwarfed by the sheer scale of the workings on this level. The lumps of discarded slate tossed down the mountainside often the size of cabin hut itself.
