A 3 AM start plus a 11 mile round trip hike across the mesa to this remote rim overlook was well worth the morning light show.
The partially shaded rocks on the canyon's rim retained an eerie blue quality despite the warmth of the morning sunrise spreading across the canyon landscape, making for great contrast.
