Sunset over Bottallack's Crown Engine houses

remains of the day

A winter sunset illuminates the engine houses of the Bottallack’s Crown mine.

These engine houses stand in defiance of the elements, dwarfed by both cliffs and the surrounding swells; the sea buffeting them for well over a century since they ceased pulling tin from many fathoms below the Atlantic.
