tolkien Falls
Scaleber force is a fairytale-esque waterfall (or foss) in the upper reaches of the Yorkshire Dales.
Trapped in a moss lined Tolkien-esque gorge, it is a favourite of mine to visit when in the Dales, which is near my old family home.
The many tiered waterfall looks its best come autumn when the moss is verdant green, and there’s colour on the ground from the surrounding trees.
