Folly at Carn Brea lit up at sunset by the setting sun

blue monday

Blue hour starts over the endlessly impressive and varied geology of Saltwick Bay.

In this section of the bay, giant pancake rocks lie on the mirrored jet black rock. This arrangement struck me for its zen garden like layout leading out the stoic Black Nab.

The sea was millpond calm; almost eire in the cool dawn light. A long exposure rendered the sea even more tranquil, glasslike, enhancing the sense of calm pervading the bay that morning.
