Last Larch
I spotted this lone larch growing deep in the bowls of a Lake District quarry. Its striking orange filaments contrasting wonderfully with the blue tones of the slate walls.
Heavy rain soaked the scene, adding a richness of depth and enhancing the contrast between the walls and the tree.
