Wistman’s Wood is an enchanting place, a vestige of England’s prehistoric woodland, full of ancient gnarled oaks, giants blocks of moss encrusted granite and ethereal mist.
I came upon these two. The tree appearing to flow and follow and rocks shape as if locked in a slow imperceptible dance. A touch of mist added to the enchantment.
Forests are a very challenging subject I find. All that chaos, contrast and visual complexity make finding compositions challenging; but ever so satisfying.
